Description: This group encourages beginners to enjoy using their digital camera.  The photography leader helps with basic skills on composing and capturing a better photograph.

Photo shoots are organised around a theme or to visit a local attraction or place of interest e.g.. Southwell, Green's Mill, Newstead Abbey, etc to take photos and then later show these on a big screen and discuss them, trying to help each other with what went well or what could be improved.  Below are some examples of photos taken by Group members.

The group also enjoys the social aspect of getting out and about  with other photographers.

New members are very welcome.

DO I NEED A SOPHISTICATED CAMERA?

No, any kind of camera is fine, as we

are a group who enjoy going out

taking photographs for fun and

gaining experience in composition

and in using the settings and

controls to take a better picture.
