Welcome to the Website of Burton Joyce and District u3a

The u3a is a friendly network of over 1,000 groups across the UK, created for people who are no longer working full-time to meet up, socialize, and learn just for the fun of it. It’s all run by volunteers, and we can only offer as much as our members are willing to get involved – but you might be surprised by just how much that is!

Why not pop by one of our monthly speaker meetings? We meet at Burton Joyce Village Hall on the second Tuesday of each month. You can be as involved as you like – as little or as much as suits you. That said, the more you join in, the more you’ll get out of it! We’ve got over 60 interest groups, from Aerobics to Wine Tasting, so there’s bound to be something that catches your eye. And if you’ve got an idea for something new, it’s easy to start your own group too.

Feel free to join one of our monthly meetings or contact a Group Coordinator if there’s a particular group you’re curious about. You can also enjoy a couple of taster sessions without any obligation to join.
